How we handle speed optimization gotchas
We won’t quote you a flat number before looking. Most speed problems come down to 3-4 real issues (usually big images, too many plugins, or a bloated theme), not the 30 things PageSpeed yells at you about. Once we know what we’re dealing with, we give you a real quote before we touch anything.
Sometimes the fix is simple: compress the images, turn on caching, clean up the code. Sometimes it’s bigger. If your theme is genuinely the bottleneck, or a plugin you rely on is dragging your whole site down, we’ll tell you that directly instead of quietly working around it. That’s a straight scope conversation, and it happens before we start, not after we’ve already billed you for it.
We’d rather flag a bigger problem early than patch around it and have you back here in three months with the same complaint.
