Websites need care after launch

A website isn’t a project you finish once. It runs every day, on software that keeps changing, against threats that keep evolving, for visitors who expect it to load fast and work correctly. The websites that stay healthy are the ones that are actively maintained.

CyberOptik care plans keep your website hosted, updated, secured, and supported by a US-based team that has direct access to the people who built it. We currently manage more than 800 websites this way.

The website build and the care plan are separate

The website build and the care plan serve different purposes. The project creates the website. The care plan provides the infrastructure and ongoing work needed to host it, keep it current, protect it, and support your team.

We separate the two on purpose so you can see exactly what you’re paying for. Your proposal shows the website project and the ongoing services as distinct line items, not blended into one number.

Ongoing work that keeps a WordPress website healthy

The exact plan we recommend depends on your website and how your team uses it. These are the core areas a care plan typically addresses.

Managed hosting

We host the website in an environment our team controls, oversees, and optimizes. That gives our support and development teams direct access when troubleshooting is needed, so problems get solved faster because we’re not waiting on a third-party host.

Routine maintenance

We review the website and perform scheduled WordPress and plugin updates with the full site in mind. An update that breaks a form or a layout isn’t a real improvement, so maintenance is where small problems get caught before they become outages.

Emergency security updates

When an urgent vulnerability is reported, we evaluate and apply the relevant update outside the normal maintenance schedule. The gap between disclosure and patching is exactly when sites get compromised, and emergency maintenance closes that gap.

Caching and performance

Website-level caching and server-side optimization appropriate for the hosting environment. Performance isn’t a one-time setting. As content grows and software changes, we keep the site tuned so it stays fast.

Website security tools

We install and monitor security tools intended to reduce common risks and flag suspicious behavior. No website can be made completely immune to attack, but the right posture makes an enormous difference.

Help and support

Our support team answers questions, investigates problems, and makes updates on your behalf according to the terms of your plan. You reach people who understand websites, backed by the development and leadership teams.

What support can, and can’t, do

Active maintenance dramatically cuts risk, but no agency can promise a website will never have a problem. Software fails, hosts have incidents, and attackers are persistent.

What we commit to is doing the preventive work that avoids most issues, responding when something does go wrong, and being straight with you about what happened and what we’re doing about it.

What isn’t included by default

A care plan keeps your existing website healthy. It’s not an open-ended budget for new features. Significant new functionality, a redesign, new content types, or a marketing campaign are separate scoped work. We’ll tell you when a request is routine care versus a new project, so there are no surprise charges and no scope creep hidden inside a maintenance invoice.

Frequently asked

Is a care plan required?

We strongly recommend one because an unmaintained WordPress website accumulates risk over time. That said, you own your website and are free to host and maintain it elsewhere. If you do, we’ll provide the access and information you need. See Website Ownership.

What happens when a plugin update breaks something?

We aim to catch that during maintenance by reviewing the site after updates rather than assuming everything is fine. If an update causes a problem, our team investigates and resolves it as part of the plan.

Do you guarantee the website will never be hacked or go down?

No responsible provider can guarantee that. We reduce risk substantially through secure hosting, monitoring, timely updates, and fast response, and we’re honest with you if an incident occurs.

Can support make content changes for us?

Yes, within the terms of your plan. Many clients handle routine edits themselves using the training and tools we provide, and lean on our team for larger or more technical changes.

Does the care plan include SEO or advertising?

No. SEO, Google Ads, and Google Business Profile management are separate marketing services. A care plan keeps the website healthy; marketing services drive traffic to it.
